Don’t miss the Maryland Performance Excellence Awards Conference and Awards Ceremony on Monday, March 23, 2009 when business and organizational leaders gather at the University of Maryland to learn best practices from world class organizations and celebrate performance excellence.

Full day conference includes:

1.      Keynote presentations by high-performing organizations who implement the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence to produce world-class results.  Speakers include Baldrige National Quality Award recipients and Maryland’s own U.S. Senate Productivity Award recipient--

·       MESA Products—Tulsa, Oklahoma—2006 Baldrige Award Recipient

·       City of Coral Springs—Florida2007 Baldrige Award Recipient

·       Howard Community College—Columbia, Maryland—2007 U.S. Senate Productivity Award Recipient

2.      Presentation of the 2008 Maryland Performance Excellence Awards by Senators Barbara Mikulski and Benjamin Cardin and the University of Maryland

3.      Breakout sessions with keynote presenters—smaller group sessions to learn more from a keynote speaker and to address your specific questions about their experience with the Baldrige framework and how it helped to make them world class organizations

4.      Opportunity to network with leaders of Maryland organizations who are working to improve Maryland’s economy through performance excellence in the workplace

·  The awards program will be leaving the University of Maryland on April 1, 2009 and the newly-incorporated Maryland Performance Excellence Foundation, Inc. will manage the awards program.  We will continue to offer education, leadership, networking, assessment, feedback, and recognition.

·  With a budget of $275,000 to cover staff, office, operations, marketing, training, awards process, conference, professional services and more, the Foundation needs your help to continue offering its services.  

·  Please act immediately and send your contribution, so that the Foundation can continue advancing performance excellence for the people and organizations of Maryland through the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence management framework.
